What we can do.

  • Dream it.

So you want to get rid of your lawn, and you want to do it yourself, but you’re not sure where to begin. A 90 minute on-site consultation can help get the wheels turning by looking both at what currently exists and starting to imagine what could exist in the future. We will follow up with notes, thoughts, and suggested resouces to support you in whatever the next steps may be.

  • Map it.

After your initial consultation and site visit, you may feel confident in taking on the design of your new garden. We can help by creating a base map of your property, including structures, hardscapes, and existing plants which you would like to keep. Plan your garden from a scaled, proportional drawing of your space.

  • Design it.

The world of plants can quickly become daunting, and if you’d like to start your garden from a holistic, overarching plan we would love to help. We’re happy to support you at whatever level you desire: from a list of suggested plant species and basic layout ideas all the way up to a fully scaled design that you can work from at whatever speed you desire or hand to one of our contractor partners for professional insallation.

  • Source it.

A plant list or design on paper is one thing, but tracking down dozens of species in various sizes to arrive at the same time atan ideal planting time is an entirely different project. As a micronursery, we produce many of our favorite plants ourselves— and those that we don’t, we can usually track down. Your time is valuable, you should spend it with your hands in the dirt instead of driving all over the valley searching for the plants you need.

  • Install it.

While Calypte is not a landscape contractor, we work with several local companies who are. If your garden visions are larger than your appetite for labor but the thought of managing a construction project is similarly forboding, let us help. Whether it is a new patio, a lawn removal, or a large scale planting, our partners can make it happen for you.

  • Support it.

Garden is a verb and beauty is temporary. Every garden will change over time, and we’re here to help as issues and opportunities arise as time continues its relentless march forward. While we’re not particulary likely to come mow your lawn, we’re happy to vist your garden and discuss its evolution, help make edits as plant grow, and support your jorney as a gardener.
